What Is PRP Therapy?
PRP starts with a small volume of your own blood. It is spun in a centrifuge so the platelets separate from the rest and can be concentrated into a small preparation, which is then injected or applied at the treatment site. Platelets are the blood cells that arrive first at an injury, and when they are activated they release a burst of signalling proteins - the reason platelet-rich plasma is studied as a way to support repair.
Because the material comes from you, there is no donor and no matching question.
